Ex-UTEP director to lead city's International Bridges Department [El Paso Times, Texas :: ]


(El Paso Times (TX) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) March 12--A former city employee who most recently served as the director of parking at UTEP has been appointed as the city's new director of the International Bridges Department.

Paul Stresow will manage three of the city's international ports of entry: Paso Del Norte, Stanton and Zaragoza. Stresow will also manage the city's Parking Meter Division. He begins his new position March 18.

Before serving as director of Parking and Transportation at the University of Texas at El Paso, Stresow worked for several city departments for about nine years, including Human Resources, Public Works and Sun Metro.

Stresow earned two master's in public administration and a master's in business administration from UTEP. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration and a Professional in Human Resources certification.




"Stresow is a great asset to our leadership team," Deputy City Manager Jane Shang said. "We have invested millions of dollars in upgrading our city-managed ports of entry and pursued partnerships to better facilitate trade and travel.
