IET Ties Up with IEEMA for Information Exchange(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BANGALORE, India, March 7 -- The Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers' Association issued the following news release: The Institution of Engineering and Technology Services India, (IET) one of the world's largest multi-disciplinary professional societies of engineers and technicians, has joined hands with Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA), the apex association of manufacturers of electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment in India. The agreement is aimed to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of technical information betw een the two organizations. This would cover three primary areas --joint events and activities; dissemination of know ledge, and efforts to improve the state of engineering education in India. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will make it easier for the two leading organisations to work together to plan technical lectures and talks as well as to jointly develop programmes, activities and materials aimed at enhancing the quality of engineering education in India. This will include forums, conferences, publications, standards, educational materials and awards. Shekhar Sanya l, Director and Country Head, the IET India, said: "We believe this agreement will promote co-operation and understanding betw een our two organisations and will go a long way in furthering technology awareness among the general public and students of engineering. With its tremendous potential to impact the engineering and technology scene in India, the agreement demonstrates the IET's commitment to this aspect of the country's economy".
