China Unicom, Tencent Team Up in WeChat Payment(Sinocast Telecommunications Beat (China) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BEIJING, March 5, SinoCast -- China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. (NYSE: CHU, SEHK: 0762, and SHSE: 600050) and Tencent Holdings Limited (SEHK: 0700) jointly declared WeChat payment cooperation in 200 outlets of the Chinese mobile carrier. China Unicom hoped to introduce customers in offline outlets to the Internet, covering both online and offline with service marketing network.
