Zoetis Appoints Dr. Willie M. Reed, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University, to its Board of Directors
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. --(Business Wire)--
Zoetis Inc. (NYSE:ZTS) today announced the appointment of Dr. Willie M.
Reed, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University (News - Alert),
to its Board of Directors. Dr. Reed will serve on the Corporate
Governance Committee of the Board.
Dr. Reed has more than 30 years of experience in animal health and
veterinary medicine, gained during his tenure at Purdue University and
Michigan State University, and as a Diplomate of the American College of
Veterinary Pathologists and Charter Diplomate of the American College of
Poultry Veterinarians. Dr. Reed served as president of the Association
of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC), president of the
American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD),
president of the American Association of Avian Pathologists (AAAP) and
chair of the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on
Research. He currently serves on the American Veterinary Medical
Association's (AVMA) Member Services Committee.
As a recognized expert in avian pathology, diagnostic medicine and
infectious diseases, Dr. Reed brings perspectives on veterinary medicine
that will be crucial as Zoetis continues to enhance its reputation as a
world leader in animal health. He will add valuable scientific expertise
to the Zoetis Board, as well as a unique understanding of the needs of
