Mobile Industry Veteran Laurie Lamberth Joins 151 Advisors

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)--

151 Advisors, a global strategic consulting firm for mobile, wireless and web-based software and technology companies, today announced that Laurie Lamberth has joined the company as Associate Partner. With over 20 years of experience in mobile, M2M, the Internet of Things and digital media, Laurie will help accelerate 151 Advisors' new M2M practice.

"Laurie's depth and breadth of knowledge of the IoT and M2M, backed with her proven success helping early and growth-stage companies drive connected products and services to market, is a strategic compliment to our leadership team that will result in bottom-line results for our clients," said Steve Brumer (News - Alert), Partner at 151 Advisors. "She's execution-focused with rich experience and contacts in mobile, M2M, enterprise mobility, location-based services (LBS) and mobile marketing."

151 Advisors recently announced specialized consulting services to help companies in today's rapidly evolving global IoT and Industrial Internet ecosystem solve critical business problems, seize new market opportunities, and accelerate results. 151 Advisors offers industry-focused strategic, business and financal planning, as well as execution support such as go-to-market strategy and execution, product and business strategy, market entry, distribution and channel development, strategic partnerships, corporate development and M&A.

"I joined 151 Advisors because we see an opportunity to provide quality professional services to an underserved and rapidly growing market: connected devices and the services they connect to, also known the Internet of Things, M2M and telematics. There are new and growing companies in this space, but not many, if any, business focused consulting firms to serve them. I look forward to applying our experience and global business networks, along with 151's rich set of strategic and operational resources, to the task of helping companies in the connected device and cloud services sectors increase their top lines and optimize their operations," said Lamberth.

Recognized as one of Connected World Magazine's "Women of M2M" in February 2013, and named "Power Player in Mobile" in October 2013 by AlwaysOn Networks, Lamberth regularly publishes, speaks, and is interviewed for print, radio, and TV on topics related to wireless, location-based services, privacy, the Internet of Things, and next-gen telecom. Over the course of her career, she held a number of leadership roles with Nextel and Sprint (News - Alert), launching U.S. tier 1 mobile operator Nextel Communication's first market, propelling Nextel's growth in various marketing and strategic partnership positions, and leading the enterprise business development team at Nextel and Sprint for seven years, including five years leading the M2M business development team.

Lamberth holds an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach. She's extended her education with workshops in strategic negotiation and leadership at the Harvard Business School.
