The CFO Connection Celebrates 15 Years

This year, The CFO Connection is celebrating its 15^th year in operation. The CFO Connection helps companies achieve their business goals with financial and business expertise delivered according to the part-time CFO model. This model pairs small and medium-size organizations that cannot justify the expense of a full-time CFO with the expertise of seasoned CFOs who provide services on a permanent, part-time basis.

"Our success and longevity as an organization validates the part-time CFO model," says founder Bob Thompson. "Our customers know that our CFOs deliver tremendous business value at a fraction of the cost of a full-time position."

Thompson started The CFO Connection in 1999 after leaving the corporate world where he learned the ins and outs of running a business in the global economy. Striking out on his own, he didn't necessarily intend to launch a new company based on the part-time CFO model. The opportunity, however, clearly existed.

"I just went around and talked to people in my network - talked to them about what I could do to help their businesses," he says. "Early on, it became abundantly clear that they could use professional financial and business help on a permanent basis. But the cost of a full-time CFO role stood in the way. Thus the part-time CFO model was born."
