Promise Healthcare Celebrates Construction of New Long-Term Acute Care Hospital in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, Fla. --(Business Wire)--
Promise Healthcare, Inc., a leading national long-term acute care (LTAC)
hospital company has commenced construction on its newest facility,
Promise Hospital of Fort Myers. Designed as a 56,000 square foot, 60-bed
single story facility, the new hospital will treat critically ill
patients with multi-organ conditions requiring a longer hospital
recovery period, aggressive therapy services and/or complex wound care.
Modeled after the successful custom design and build of Promise
Healthcare facilities in Louisiana and The Villages, Florida, Promise
Hospital of Fort Myers will provide LTAC services supported by the
latest technologies in safety and medical equipment. Located at 3050
Champion Ring Road in the Forum, Promise Hospital will be the first of
its kind in Lee County and the region.
The new Promise long-term acute care hospital will close a gap in the
local health care market. Currently, the families of patients in need of
long-term acute care must travel several hours each way from their homes
to be with loved ones receiving treatment. "Promise is bringing to Lee
County a much-needed facility providing a new care stting for patients
who have long-term acute needs," says Jim Nathan, president of Lee
Memorial Health System. "They have a highly-respected name in long-term
care, and we look forward to working with them so that each patient is
getting the right care in the right place."
Peter Baronoff, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Promise
Healthcare, Inc., says Promise is committed to serving the Fort Myers
and Lee County communities. In addition, Baronoff stated that the goal
of the Promise Long-term acute care hospital is to provide care for
patients referred from the surrounding region.
"We are privileged and honored for the opportunity to expand our
presence to the Fort Myers community and are looking forward to working
collaboratively with Lee Memorial Health System and all the other
hospitals and health care providers in the area to enhance the continuum
of patient care," says Baronoff.
Baronoff also expressed thanks to officials at Lee Memorial Health
System for working collaboratively with Promise in making the vision of
Promise Hospital of Fort Myers a reality. With an estimated completion
date in late 2014, the hospital is expected to yield over 150 full-time
positions once completed.
Promise is also completing a 60-bed sister hospital in Miami Lakes that
is a mirror image of the Fort Myers facility. The Miami Lakes hospital
completion is anticipated in early 2015.
