Tangoe and Samsung Enters into Strategic Partnership Agreement [Health & Beauty Close - Up]

(Health & Beauty Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Tangoe, Inc., a global provider of Connection Lifecycle Management (CLM) software and related services, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Samsung to provide Samsung KNOX mobile security solution to Tangoe's global enterprise customers supporting Samsung mobile devices.

With their partnership, Tangoe can offer its clients Samsung's mobile security solution, which provides security for Samsung users protecting enterprise data from leakage, malware, and malicious attacks, the Company noted in a release. Samsung KNOX container technology can be used to create a secure zone on the employee's device for corporate applications and data. The user's personal applications and data remain outside the secure zone and are kept private. Samsung KNOX provides reassurance and convenience for IT departments looking to implement and manage BYOD strategies, or looking to replace legacy infrastructures, supporting Samsung devices.

"This agreement initiates a strategy of closer alignment between Tangoe and Samsung in addressing the growing importance of mobility management for enterprises around the globe," said Dr. Injong Rhee, senior vice president and head of technology strategy and enterprise R&D at Samsung Electronics. "Beyond Tangoe's initial reselling of KNOX, we are also exploring the long term goal of integrating KNOX with Tangoe's comprehensive MatrixMobile solution, which provides mobility management software and service capabilities to global enterprise clients." "We are very excited about this initial agreement with Samsung," said Al Subbloie, president and CEO of Tangoe. "This partnership between leaders in the mobile marketplace provides enterprises with new and innovative ways to better manage the myriad of mobile connections within their organizations, while providing mobile enterprise security without compromising personal privacy. BYOD is a reality, as is the need for enterprises to continually re-evaluate their liability models to align with key expense, policy, security, support and end-user productivity goals. This agreement further enables our market leading and comprehensive mobility solution suite to be more nimble and adaptive to enterprise requirements. We view Samsung as a vital mobility management partner enabling organizations to further refine their operations, control costs and increase efficiencies throughout their global mobile ecosystems."
