BICSI Recognizes ICT Africa Fiber Optic Communications Training Course for Continuing Education Credits (CECs)

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) (PRWEB) February 25, 2014 ICT Africa, a fiber optic communications training and consultancy company, today announced that BICSI, one of the ICT industry’s most respected professional organizations, will award its Continuing Education Credits (CEC) to trainees who complete ICT Africa’s Fiber Optic Communications course offered in a number of African cities.

BICSI’s CEC program is the continuing education segment of its credentialing program. After achieving a BICSI credential (a process that includes the accumulation of experience and the passing of rigorous tests), an ICT professional is required to "keep current" by taking continuing education courses and seminars. As such, the number of CECs accumulated by an ICT professional indicates the effort made in ongoing education and helps them maintain their status.

“We are delighted that BICSI has recognized our two day Fiber Optic Communications course as an important training program for ICT professionals, especially in Africa," commented Dr. Jabulani Dhliwayo, Co-Founder at ICT Africa. "As Africa faces the mammoth challenge of developing networks that connect communities and countries to one another and to the rest of the world, appropriate training is a must. By attending the training course, network planning engineers and managers will learn the ins and outs of all components of optical communications networks, including the products, specifications, the international standards associated with the products and how they are used in a network. BICSI credits are an important measure of the value of the course. " The Fiber Optic Communication training is offered during ICT Africa’s Fiber Optic Workshops hosted in selected cities throughout the African continent.
