BRIEF: Ex-worker sentenced for stealing computer parts from two Wichita companies [The Wichita Eagle :: ](Wichita Eagle (KS) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Feb. 24--A former maintenance worker was sentenced Monday to 16 months in federal prison for selling computer parts he stole while working at two Wichita companies, Spirit AeroSystems and Fiber Glass Systems. Mark A. Lankford, 45, was given the sentence after pleading guilty Dec. 9 to two counts of wire fraud that led him to make nearly $155,000 from selling the stolen parts, according to a news release by U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom's office. He was ordered to three years of supervised release after spending his 16 months in prison, the release said. Lankford stole computer parts worth nearly $467,000 from Spirit while working there as an equipment maintenance technician from October 2010 to September 2011. He used e-mail to offer stolen parts for sale. All except about $12,000 worth of parts were recovered by law enforcement, Grissom said. He also stole computer parts worth more than $41,000 from Fiber Glass while working there as a maintenance mechanic from March 2008 to October 2010. He tried to sell the parts on eBay, Grissom said.
