Arcadyan Selects AirHop's eSONTM for Its Carrier-grade LTE Small Cell Product Family

Arcadyan today announced that it has selected AirHop's (News - Alert) eSON™ system software to be integrated with its LTE small cell product family. The integrated solution will provide wireless operators with LTE (News - Alert) small cell eNodeBs with basic and advanced SON features such as real-time interference management and network capacity optimization capability.

Large-scale deployment of small cells is the next big challenge for the mobile operators to address ever-increasing data demands of the consumers and enterprises. To meet these different requirements, Arcadyan provides cost-effective, carrier-grade LTE small cell product line ranging from residential to enterprise femtocell products to picocell products for outdoor applications. Arcadyan products implement extra features such as data offload to a WiFi (News - Alert) network, data packet inspection, etc.

AirHop's eSON provides real-time multi-cell coordination to optimize coverage, capacity and quality of service, and load balancing, which is essential in HetNet deployment. A cloud-based client-server architecture also enables SON virtualization to deliver scalability and multi-vendor eNodeB support.
