NexTech Appoints David Henriksen President and CEO [Professional Services Close - Up]


(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NexTech, a provider of electronic medical records, practice management, and marketing software solutions, announced the appointment of David Henriksen as the company's new president and chief executive officer.



According to a release, Henriksen assumes responsibility from the company's founder Kamal Majeed, who has led NexTech as CEO for the past 17 years. Majeed will serve on the NexTech board of directors.

"We are pleased to add someone with David's experience, enthusiasm and depth of expertise to our team," said Majeed. "NexTech's goal from the beginning has been to provide specialty physicians with best-in-class solutions to address their unique needs. I am confident that David is the right person to build on this success and further expand NexTech's capabilities to address new challenges specialty physicians are facing today." Henriksen was previously the president of healthcare information solutions for Carestream Health, a global medical IT business. Before that he spent seven years at McKesson as a senior vice president responsible for the physician practice solutions business. Additionally, Henriksen spent ten years with General Electric, including general management roles with both the outpatient and acute care software divisions of GE Healthcare.
