City and County of San Francisco Selects ExecuTime Software

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) February 18, 2014 According to Brent Lewis, Director of Finance and IT with the Department of Human Resources, City and County of San Francisco, the decision to use ExecuTime came after they began to experience unacceptable levels of instability within a homegrown timekeeping solution.

While conducting his search for a new solution, Mr. Lewis met with ExecuTime at the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) conference and set up a software demonstration. Though Mr. Lewis and his team did some demonstrations with other timekeeping solution providers, they ultimately decided to implement ExecuTime. "ExecuTime was very helpful and interested in working with us," says Mr. Lewis. "They offered greater system flexibility. We're very particular about how we capture employee time. We felt that ExecuTime was the best choice with regards to adapting to our needs." Features that most appealed to the Department included not just the ability to quickly and easily track time and assist in the costing process via its browser-based graphical user interface (GUI), but also its built-in ability to handle time-off requests. Since the method for submitting a request was a mixture of an email or something verbal, having one system to capture a time-off request, include it on the time sheet, and generate a calendar for supervisors with pending, approved and declined requests is an effective improvement. "ExecuTime's time-off request functionality was key," explains Mr. Lewis. "It was a huge selling point to get all three in one solution: calendar, time-off requests, and the time sheet." Once Mr. Lewis and his team made their decision, they moved forward with an implementation plan customized by ExecuTime to fit with their schedule and requirements. Specifically, they needed user training to ensure that both the staff and supervisors would be ready to use the ExecuTime system after it was installed. "We had ExecuTime come onsite to do our training, and it was excellent," explains Mr. Lewis.

Now that ExecuTime is fully installed and operational in San Francisco's Department of Human Resources, he reports that both staff and supervisors are seeing solid benefits. "The response from the staff has been overwhelmingly positive," says Mr. Lewis. "It saves time and increases employee efficiency. And, customer service from ExecuTime is excellent. Very friendly and positive, and it's as close to instant as you can get in terms of response time." "We are excited that the City and County of San Francisco chose ExecuTime as its partner for this crucial project. Our experience with many small, medium and large government agencies allows us to accommodate the needs of an organization like San Francisco" said Kevin Malone, President of ExecuTime Software. "A reliable solution with skilled support and training staff make us as much a partner as a vendor to our customers. We're happy to be working with such a high-profile and strategic public sector entity and appreciate the confidence Brent and his staff have placed in us." About ExecuTime Software, LLC.
