Over 300 stakeholders including ministers and government officials and key decision-makers in the food and agriculture sectors will take part in the two-day event to discuss food security challenges and find common solutions for a secure and sustainable food future. The Summit will coincides with the activities of the five-day Gulfood event, the world's biggest annual food and hospitality show taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre. The World Food Security Summit will highlight the topic of security, sustainability and safety in the food sector, as well as the challenges facing the economic side in this sector. A ministerial panel discussion will be held on the sidelines of the summit to discuss the guarantees of the sustainable policies to achieve food security.Key SMEs conference and expo to open on Monday Muscat: The 6th Small and Medium Enterprises Conference & Exhibition will begin on Monday at Oman International Exhibition Centre under the patronage of Sheikh Sa'ad bin Mohammed al-Mardhouf al-Sa'adi, Minister of Sports Affairs. The three-day event is organised by the Trifoil Expo. The event aims at activating the SMEs culture of sustainability to involve in the local and international market and to highlight entrepreneurial projects and business based on innovation. The forum will shed light on the importance of SMEs in the sustainable development and how to manage small enterprises.
