The 26 year old Halifax native said she was ``tired of lying by omission,'' and that her fear of coming out had caused her spirit, her mental health and her relationships all to suffer. The star of such hit movies as ``Juno,'' ``Inception'' and ``X-Men'' said that all people, regardless of their sexuality, ``Deserve to experience love fully, equally, without shame and without compromise.'' Finnish video-game developer Rovio Entertainment says it has picked Vancouver-based Sony Pictures Imageworks to be the primary animation house for the upcoming ``Angry Birds'' movie. The game has become a worldwide hit with multiple versions, in which players use a slingshot to launch colourful but irate birds toward green pigs. The ``Angry Birds'' movie is slated to be released in July 2016. (The Canadian Press) (TV-House-of-Cards) Molly Parker is bringing a strong female character to the Netflix series ``House of Cards.'' The B-C-bred actress has joined the cast of the political drama as an ambitious third-term congresswoman who is taken under the wing of scheming politician Francis Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey. But Parker says in a recent interview from New York that her character is not very easily manipulated. Parker says she was a big fan of the show before joining the cast, even binge-watching the first season's 13 episodes in about three days. Season 2 of ``House of Cards'' premieres this weekend on Netflix. The 27 year old rapper from Toronto adds that he was frustrated and says Thursday was ``an emotional day.'' He titled the post ``Tough Day At The Office.'' Drake tweeted Thursday that he was ``disgusted'' that Rolling Stone put Hoffman on its cover and he was finished doing magazine interviews. (The Associated Press) (MUSIC-Nicki-Minaj-Malcolm-X) Malcolm X's family and estate say Nicki Minaj's use of a famous photo of the black nationalist with a rifle in his hands and juxtaposing it with a racial slur for her new song's artwork is disrespectful and offensive. Malcolm X's daughter, Ilyasah Shabazz, says Minaj's use of the picture ``in no way is endorsed by our family.'' Minaj pulled the artwork after she was criticized on many social media platforms. Her new song's title includes the N-word. A spokeswoman for Cowell says he and socialite Lauren Silverman welcomed their baby son early Friday evening, Valentine's Day, in New York. Cowell, of ``American Idol'' and ``The X Factor'' fame, has been tweeting about the happy event. He says the new mom is in ``great shape'' and describes his new son as ``healthy and handsome.'' The 5-foot-2 Hart had seven points and four assists for the West team in a 60-56 loss to the East squad last night, but fans voted him the game M-V-P for a third straight year. Hart, however, insisted the trophy go to U-S Education Secretary Arne Duncan, who had 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists for the East. On the bright side, Hart noted his new movie, ``About Last Night,'' is in theatres this weekend. (The Associated Press) (PEOPLE-Jenni-Rivera-Lawsuit) The husband of Jenni Rivera is suing the owners of the plane that crashed in northern Mexico in December 2012, killing the Mexican-American pop star and six others. Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Esteban Loaiza filed the wrongful death case yesterday in Los Angeles. Among other things, the lawsuit claims that the pilots employed by Starwood Management weren't licensed to fly paying passengers. Rivera, who sold more than 15 million records, filed for divorce from Loaiza two months before the crash, but the lawsuit says he continued to receive financial benefits from her.
