(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Manchester, UK -- VXL Instruments announce the launch of the new Vtona V240, quad display, zero client supporting the latest Teradici PCoIP technology for both its North American and Western European markets.

The perfect solution for VMware Horizon View(TM) users, the new VMware-certified Vtona V240 PCoIP Zero Client delivers a superior performance for all Cloud, Virtualisation and Remote Workstation environments. Ensuring a rich multi-media performance including 3D graphics, CAD / CAM, video and more, the latest V240 also supports up to four displays (1920 x 1200) or dual high-resolution displays (2560 x 1600).

"As pioneers in the thin client space, the new Vtona V240 zero client offers enterprise office workers, as well as designers, scientists, architects and engineers, an excellent desktop performance that's designed to handle the most demanding tasks as well as support up to 4 displays," said Frank Noon, Vice President, Worldwide Sales, VXL Instruments Ltd.

Classified as a 'true' zero client, the Vtona V240 PCoIP Zero Client has no operating system, device drivers, fan, or noise, making it both a reliable and durable performer as well as simplicity itself to install as well as manage. Offering users enhanced security, the Vtona V240 is also risk free from viruses / malware and is an extremely energy efficient device, with a low power consumption of only 12 Watts.

Equally at ease operating on both LANs and WANs, the Vtona V240 comes complete with class-leading specification including 512MB memory, full USB 2.0 (4x) and audio peripheral connectivity, quad display ports to support up to four monitors, plus an impressive three-year warranty as standard. The new V240 complements VXL's current VMware-certified, Vtona V200, dual display zero client based on the Teradici PCoIP technology.

"Teradici is pleased to have VXL add the Vtona 240 to its portfolio of PCoIP Zero Clients," said Ziad Lammam, Director of Product Management, Teradici. "With the Vtona V240 PCoIP zero client, end users can connect up to four displays to their PCoIP virtual desktops or high performance remote workstations while enjoying a secure and rich user experience that is easy to manage." The new Vtona V240 PCoIP Zero Client with quad displays is available now, together with VXL's current Vtona V200 PCoIP Zero Client with high resolution dual displays.
