Media Advisory: The Hon. J. Clifford Wallace to Be Inaugural Speaker at Center for Corporate Legal Leadership
IRVINE, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
UC Irvine School of Law's Center for Corporate Legal Leadership has
launched a speaker series that will begin with a Feb. 10, 2014 talk by
J. Clifford Wallace, Senior Judge, Chief Judge Emeritus, U.S. Court of
Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
WHAT: Judge Wallace will speak on "What Businesses Face When
Entering the Courts in Asia and the Pacific," based on his four decades
of experience working directly with judiciaries in over 50 countries on
every continent.
Judge Wallace has made substantial contributions to the advancement of
the rule of law and administration of Justice throughout the world. He
developed the concept of the Chief Justices of Asia and the Pacific and
has been a participant in those conferences for more than 20 years.
Judge Wallace has worked with many countries to develop judicial needs
assessments and assisted in the implementation of programs to meet their
needs. This is a rare opportunity to hear from a leading expert on
foreign judicial administration.
The mission of the Center for Corporate Legal Leadership (CCLL) is to
serve as the leading global provider of top-quality practical training
opportunities for in-house counsel, aspiring in-house counsel and the
outside counsel who advise businesses in today's hpercompetitive global
economy. The curriculum will be tailored to the specific needs of
business and will focus on developing the skills-both legal and
