Skylight® Healthcare Systems Expands Presence at HiMSS14

SAN DIEGO --(Business Wire)--

Skylight® Healthcare Systems, the pioneer in interactive patient engagement systems, will expand its presence at the Healthcare Information and Management Society's (HIMSS) Annual Conference taking place Feb. 23 - 27 at the Orange (News - Alert) County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

Skylight will again be featured as a cornerstone partner in the Intelligent Hospital Pavilion. The company's signature product, Skylight CareNavigator™, will be shown in four rooms of the hospital and the Intelligent Home. CareNavigator will be used in the step-down unit, the labor and delivery room, and in two uses in the Intelligent Home.

Throughout the hospital tour, attendees will be able to see how CareNavigator can significantly streamline workflows including the discharge process, effectively deliver patient education and entertainment, and improve the overall patient experience. For post-discharge care, a responsibility that many hospitals are accepting as the industry shifts from volume-based reimbursement models to value-based reimbursements, CareNavigator™ Passport will be displayed in the Intelligent Home. CareNavigator Passport gives patients anytime, anywhere access to essential information that will help them stay on track of their health and recovery.

Additionally, Skylight will also be exhibiting in the Qualcomm (News - Alert) Life Pavilion, booth 6489, where it will unveil an industry-defining demonstration of a remote monitoring patient communication solution that leverages technologies already present in patient homes. Through collaboration with Qualcomm Life, Inc., the two companies will demonstrate solutions that will engage patients and deliver essential health information over common technology platforms to facilitate better patient health and reduce the cost of care.
