After having converted a vast range of bank branches and ATM networks to Solar energy solutions, Buksh Energy now aims to provide low cost LED lighting and help conserve energy sources in Pakistan.

As the Energy crisis builds, Buksh Energy's objectives for 2014 remain not to increase energy solutions but rather the need for optimum energy solutions. The Chairman of Buksh Group (the parent company of Buksh Energy Pvt. Ltd.) Mr. Asim Buksh said; "If renewable energy generation options are not adopted, the power shortage will become more acute - to 19000 MW by 2020, solar power generation is the cheapest source of energy," he said.

The company believes that efficiency is the key for which reason the company conducts thorough energy audits to ensure the elimination of any non-compliance of any form. Light-emitting diodes (LED) are semiconductor light sources that are used as indicator lamps in many devices and are increasingly used for general lighting. Early LEDs emitted low-intensity red light, but modern versions are available across the visible, ultraviolet, and infrared wavelengths, with very high brightness.

They are known for electroluminescence, and the colour of the light is determined by the energy band gap of the semiconductor. LEDs have many advantages over incandescent light sources including lower energy consumption, longer lifetime, improved physical robustness, smaller size, and faster switching. Light-emitting diodes are used in applications as diverse as aviation lighting, automotive lighting, advertising, general lighting and traffic signals.

LEDs have allowed new text, video displays, and sensors to be developed, while their high switching rates are also useful in advanced communications technology. Infrared LEDs are also used in the remote control units of many commercial products including televisions, DVD players and other domestic appliances. LEDs are used to create a new form of wireless internet access called Li-Fi, or light fidelity.

Buksh Energy Pvt. Ltd. will be providing all engineering and after sales services to users for running and maintenance of the LED light solutions in the capacity of distributors. Ms. Fiza Farhan, CEO Buksh Foundation, Director Buksh Energy, stated: "It is quite an emotionally fulfilling experience for the entire team of Buksh Energy to see the realization of our mutual vision of "Impact Investment" first with the success and scale achieved by providing solar electricity and mobile charging facility to more than 75 villages in 12 districts of the country for the sister concern Buksh Foundation's LaML project, solar water filtration plants for clean drinking water solutions and solar tube wells in rural Punjab for Buksh Foundation's Drop of Sun project, then moving onto solar banking and ATMs, smart grid solutions and now finally with low cost and lower energy consumption LED lighting solutions."
