Superior Farms Lamblympics Promotion Goes for the Gold

DAVIS, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Taking advantage of the timeliness of the Winter Olympics this year, Superior Farms has dedicated a brand new consumer sweepstakes to the theme. "The Lamblympics" involves an online sign-up to win Gold, Silver and Bronze prize packages with printable coupons for Superior Farms lamb at retail locations.

"The idea, as always, is to raise awareness and excitement for lamb as a meal option," said Angela Gentry, Marketing Director for Superior Farms. "We're always looking for fun ways to this. The winter games are really popular, and it seems like a great fit."

The tagline for the promotion: LAMB - The Meat of Champions.

"February is already a great time for promoting lamb at restaurants for Valentine's Day," said Gentry. "We're hoping this unique promtion will attract some new shoppers to try lamb for the first time and make lamb an every-day meal. Plus, as people focus on their healthy New Year's resolutions, lamb offers a lean, healthy protein - great for folks with active lifestyles."

Superior provided participating retailers a flash drive with a digital toolkit, point-of-sale refreshers as well as social media support. Retailers could link the digital coupon as well as augment the promotion with feature items, demos or other advertising opportunities.

Facebook and Twitter will be used to promote the contest augmented by digital advertising. The promotion will coincide with the well-attended Meat Conference in Atlanta, GA, where Superior Farms will be exhibiting.
