Companies such as Phillips, Nokia, IBM and Samsung (News - Alert) are pursuing applications for graphene in electronics and optics. Near-term demand is for composites and coatings for application in the automotive, plastics, coatings, construction, metals, batteries, aerospace and energy markets.
