Microsoft inaugurates Madhya Pradesh's first innovation center [DNA : Daily News & Analysis (India)]


(DNA : Daily News & Analysis (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Now engineering students of the city will get specialised software training directly from the experts of popular software giant Microsoft.

The company on Friday opened its first innovation centre in Madhya Pradesh in Indore at Shri Aurobindo Institute of Technology (SAITS).

The Microsoft Innovation Centre is a specialised software laboratory that is set up at certain colleges across India to provide training and create industrial interface for software engineering students.

SAITS administrative official Ashutosh Shrivastava said, "Students of all city engineering colleges especially those pursuing CS and IT will be benefited with this centre".

The innovation centre has been created by the college and has 30 hi-tech computers loaded with updated software and systems.

An expert team from Microsoft will visit the centre on and off to train the students.



However, there is no eligibility for students to receive training for the same.

Shrivastava said that in addition to the training students will also get software projects from industries which will give them an exposure to the corporate world.


There are total 35 Microsoft Innovation Centers across India and 100 in the world, of which SAITS has one.

The Microsoft Innovation Center was inaugurated at SAITS by audience marketing manager, Microsoft India, Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi.
