MPI Introduces Groundbreaking Commercial and Public TV Segment Promoting the Meeting and Event Industry
DALLAS --(Business Wire)--
Meeting Professionals International (MPI) announced today it has
developed an educational commercial and a public television interstitial
segment to increase awareness for the meeting and event industry. Both
TV spots are part of the organization's Meetings Move Us ForwardSM
grassroots communication effort, which was designed to help MPI members
promote the value of the work they do.
The one-minute commercial is scheduled to debut nationwide, airing twice
between 9 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. EST on January 23 and also during the
evening of January 24, on FOX Business Network. Also, it will run
regionally in the top 200 direct marketing areas on various major cable
networks including CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, FOX News and more January 20 - 31,
2014, during the prime time viewing hours of 6 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. EST.
The interstitial program was produced for "In Focus," a short-form
documentary series that airs on public television stations across the
country. This educational segment will also run during the course of
"At MPI, we believe it is our responsibility to serve as a strong voice
for our members and the broader meeting and event industry," explains
Paul Van Deventer, president and CEO of MPI. "The economic and business
value of our industry is often nt recognized, so we created these
television spots to show the diversity, breadth and impact of our
