The new role will see her supervising the county's financial recovery from the Great Recession. Miyasato is the board's main adviser on running the county government, as Chief Executive Officer. Her previous experiences have made her acquainted with the tough financial-times witnessed by many locales since 2008. She helped Marin County create a turn-around plan to balance its budget, as the assistant county executive.
