Labuan FSA signs pledge with MACC [Business Times (Malaysia)]


(Business Times (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) KUALA LUMPUR: The Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA) on Thursday signed the Corporate Integrity Pledge (CIP) with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to enhance corporate governance, accountability and transparency in all aspects of its conduct of business in the Labuan International Financial Centre (Labuan IBFC).



The CIP was signed by Labuan FSA director-general Ahmad Hizzad Baharuddin and MACC deputy chief commissioner Datuk Sutinah Sutan.

"Labuan FSA supports the efforts of the government and the MACC in combating graft and corruption.


"The signing of the CIP reinforces Labuan FSA's role as the regulatory and supervisory body to implement best practices in corporate governance, transparency and adherence to ethical standards in Labuan IBFC," Labuan FSA said in a statement.
