Stewart Executives Listed Among the Most Powerful in Residential Real Estate in 2013

HOUSTON --(Business Wire)--

Stewart Information Services Corp. (NYSE-STC) Chief Economist Dr. Ted C. Jones has been recognized in the 2013 Swanepoel Power 200 List (SP200). The list ranks real estate industry leaders according to their influence and power. In addition, Chief Executive Officer Matt Morris made the Outsiders list recognizing real estate leaders who have had a noteworthy impact on the industry.

"I am proud that our own Dr. Ted C. Jones was recognized for the insightful market trends and analysis he provides our organization and the industry at large," said Matt Morris, CEO of Stewart. "And, I am honored to be listed on the Outsiders list and part of such an esteemed group of colleagues who are revolutionizing real estate. We expect 2014 will be a year of great change for the real estate industry - a year that will bring our industry together through a renewed focus on the consumer and real estate experience."

Jones, who was recognized in the Advisors category, was noted as one of the most foremost economists on the relationship between the economy and real estate industry.

The first annual Swanepoel Power 200 list, co-edited by consultant Rob Hahn and billed as "the most comprehensive list of influential CEOs, thought leaders, and senior executives ever assembled in the residential real estate brokerage business," bases its rankings on factors such as an individual's tenure in the real estate business, the office he or she holds, the decision-making and financial power of the company, and how much significance the company has in the industry, among other criteria. Each person selected based on these benchmarks is debated and ranked by the SP200 editorial team. The Outsiders are recognized by the Swanepoel Power 200 editorial team as outstanding individuals who have had a meaningful and noteworthy impact on the residential real estate brokerage industry.
