San Francisco Business Times Names Kristen Law Sagafi One of the Top 40 Professionals Under Age 40

Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, announced today that the San Francisco Business Times has selected Kristen Law Sagafi as one of the top 40 professionals under 40 years old in the San Francisco Bay Area for 2014.

Awardees come from many business sectors: law, technology, real estate, banking, academia, nonprofits, government, hospitality, and real estate. Ms. Sagafi has successfully litigated a series of class action lawsuits based on faulty consumer products, including building materials, home appliances, and personal electronics. In 2013, working with Robert Nelson, the chair of Lieff Cabraser's whistleblower practice group, and counsel at the California Department of Insurance, Ms. Sagafi played a key role on the team of lawyers at Lieff Cabraser, joined by counsel at the California Department of Insurance, in obtaining a $46 million settlement with Sutter Health that will permanently alter, and bring transparency to, the billing practices of one of the state's largest healthcare providers.

Ms. Sagafi's leadership in the legal profession extends outside the courtroom and is focused on ensuring equal opportunity for women lawyers and lawyers of color. She is the Membership Chair and sits on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of California Women Lawyers, and is also a board member of the Justice and Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
