' Curved' technology a hit in Vegas [Mail Today (India)]


(Mail Today (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas got off to a great start with global electronics giants making several announcements on the opening day of the show on Tuesday that brightens the outlook for consumer technology in 2014.



Samsung unveiled the world's first 105- inch curved Ultra HD- TV and plans to add Ultra HD streaming content through Netflix. It also displayed smart kitchen appliances, washing machines and tablet series.

Korean company LG showcased the G Flex curvedsmartphone and a curved- display TV. It also unveiled the Heart Rate Earphones which can record heart rate and oxygen consumption.


Japanese electronics giant Sony showed some amazing Ultra HD models, besides launching the Xperia Z1 Compact smartphone.

Indian company Micromax announced the LapTab which runs on both Windows and Android OS.
