SMC Networks Adds Adams Cable Equipment as America's Reseller for Veloxite DOCSIS 3.0 Products

SMC Networks, a leading global provider of customer premises equipment (CPE) for the complete digital home, announced today it has signed a non-exclusive reseller agent agreement with Adams Cable Equipment (ACE) to distribute its Veloxite family of DOCSIS 3.0 cable modems, eMTAs and wireless gateways.

The agreement expands SMC's distribution in the United States, Canada and parts of Latin America. It also allows ACE to add one of the industry's most advanced family of DOCSIS 3.0 gateways to its product line. As part of the agreement, ACE will stock the Veloxite D3G0804W 8x4 data gateway, a CableLabs (News - Alert)^® certified product, as well as SMC's other Veloxite DOCSIS 3.0 devices.

SMC's Veloxite product portfolio has a wide range of downstream / upstream configurations, including 8x4, 16x4 and 24x8. The data and voice gateways can support multimedia over coax alliance (MoCA^®), as well as a variety of wireless options, from single band 3x3 or 2x2 to 3x3 dual band dual concurrent (DBDC) and very high throughput (VHT) 802.11ac Wi-Fi for a maximized coverage and performance.
