Drug firms in happy pill rap [Mirror (UK)](Mirror (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) DOCTORS are wrongly branding patients depressed when they are simply sad or distressed, a report found. More than five million are now labelled depressed or suffering anxiety in the UK and up to half of these are misdiagnosed, a Liverpool University study said. UK sales of anti-depressants are going up at a rate of 10% a year, and Prof Chris Dowrick blamed drug firms for rising overdiagnosis.
