Jones Elected Chairman, Hipple Vice Chairman for James City County Board of Supervisors, Powell Named Acting County Administrator(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) WILLIAMSBURG, Va., Jan. 3 -- James City County issued the following news release: Mary Jones was elected the 2014 Chairman of the James City County Board of Supervisors at the annual organizational meeting on Jan. 2. Michael Hipple was elected Vice Chairman. Both will serve for one year. Jones has represented the Berkeley District on the Board since 2007. Hipple represents the Powhatan District and has served on the Board since November 2013. In other business, the Board named current Assistant County Administrator Doug Powell as the Acting County Administrator. Powell has been with James City County since 1995.
