Raymond D. Cotton to Provide Pro Bono Consulting at Council of Independent Colleges Annual Presidents Institute

Raymond D. Cotton, Vice President of Higher Education of ML Strategies, LLC and a Member of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glosky and Popeo, P.C., will be providing pro bono consultation to college presidents at the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) 2014 Presidents Institute. The program takes place January 3-7 in Marco Island, Florida.

Mr. Cotton will be providing pro bono consultation to newly appointed and existing presidents on a variety of issues including contracts, compensation and post-presidency agreements, among other topics. Attendees of the conference may sign up for one of three, 45-minute individual sessions being offered daily beginning Saturday, January 4 through January 7.

The CIC Presidents Institute - the largest annual meeting of college and university presidents in the country - will explore issues facing presidential leadership, drawing on the lessons learned by experienced presidents and on the broad perspectives of other distinguished speakers. The Institute provides a forum for candid discussion of controversial issues, opportunities to learn from experts and time to network with colleagues who lead similar institutions.

Mr. Cotton has represented more than 350 presidents and boards of trustees. He is a frequent speaker on the programs of higher education associations. He is also a regular contributor to the Chronicle of Higher Education. He was listed in the 2013 edition of Chambers USA: American's Leading Lawyers for Business for Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation in Washington, DC. Mr. Cotton was also named to the 2014 list of Best Lawyers in America for Education Law.
