CrashPlan Named the Best Enterprise Cloud App by TechTarget Modern Infrastructure Readers

MINNEAPOLIS --(Business Wire)--

Code42, developers of award-winning, endpoint data protection and management solutions for consumers, businesses and the enterprise, today announced its CrashPlan enterprise endpoint backup was awarded "Best Enterprise Cloud App" in the first-ever Modern Infrastructure Impact Awards, which recognize the industry's best data center products and technologies.

Published by TechTarget, Modern Infrastructure noted CrashPlan "stood out in a sea of apps for its focus on endpoint security." The publication's thousands of cloud-user readers and expert judges specifically recognized CrashPlan as the enterprise cloud app that best supports an organization's day-to-day work and IT environment, highlighting the solution's simplicity and flexibility as standout features.

"Dead-simple end-user experience," said one voter.

"It's simple-it just works without being overly complicated," another voter said. "Yet if you want the added flexibility of configuring backup policies or even add things like LDAP/Active Directory integration-it's there. Also, cross-platform support means we don't have to stay locked into a single OS."

The first-ever edition of the Modern Infrastructure Impact Awards gave prizes to winners in eight categories, which reflect the big topics affecting data center professionals today. Cloud computing, converged infrastructure, enterprise mobility management, hybrid flash storage, and desktop and application delivery are all in the spotlight for the Impact Awards. Award winners are featured in the December 2013 issue of Modern Infrastructure.

"It is very rewarding to receive recognition from the technology and user community that our solutions meet the direct needs of the enterprise," said Matthew Dornquast, co-founder and chief executive officer of Code42. "End users keep naming CrashPlan not only the best consumer backup solution, but also one of the best enterprise cloud apps out there, no matter the category."

In November, cloud app analytics and policy company Netskope ranked CrashPlan the highest-scoring cloud backup app overall, and the third most-enterprise-ready cloud application out of 2,600 evaluated across 50 categories, in its inaugural Netskope Cloud Report™.
