Mobile Generated News(R) (MoGN) Releases Two New Apps

Cardiff By The Sea, CA, Nov 26, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Mobile Generated News(R) (MoGN), the new Mobile App, Content Management System and Web-Viewer Platform has added two additional branded Apps to the Apple App Store.

User Generated Content from Citizen Journalists will be seen on the Entravision-Mobile Generated News(R) Network of Broadcast Stations in Albuquerque, Boston, Denver, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Hartford, Laredo, Las Vegas, Monterey/Salinas, Odessa/Midland, Orlando, Palm Springs, Reno, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Tampa, Valle de Rio Grande, Washington, DC and Yuma/El Centro. The Serestar-Mobile Generated News(R) Broadcast station covers the Sacramento, Stockton and Modesto market. Entravision's stations are Univision Affiliates and Serestar is a Telemundo Affiliate.

The MoGN service allows television viewers to connect directly with local stations by sharing original videos and still images directly from their mobile devices to local TV stations.

Viewers become "Citizen Journalists" by providing content such as Breaking News, hyper-local events and personal commentaries. Stations benefit by getting material on the air and their websites before the competition. They also have the ability to promote upcoming stories and share content with other TV stations and News Organizations.

"We are very excited to be the first in our markets to offer Mobile Generated News Exclusively to our Spanish Language viewers in 19 markets across the country," said Jeff Liberman, COO of Entravision Communications.

Philip Wilkinson, President/CEO of Serestar said, "Having Exclusivity in the Sacramento, Stockton and Modesto market will open up wonderful opportunities for our Telemundo viewers to interact with our television station." "We are very pleased to expand the reach of MoGN across the country, said Gill Davis, President/CEO of MGN Online, the parent company of Mobile Generated News(R). Our service will help establish a hyper-local relationship between the stations and the viewers in every market." OP-ED use by Citizen Journalists will be an important feature. The Apps will work great for Breaking News and, perhaps more importantly, Mobile Generated News(R) will give local Citizen Journalists a voice and a way to post their own Commentaries and News Reports and deliver them directly to the Entravision and Serestar MoGN News Affiliates.
