Renesas and Micrium collaborate with IS2T for RX microcontrollersOct 23, 2013 (MarketLine via COMTEX) -- Renesas Electronics America Inc., a provider of semiconductor solutions, and Micrium, Inc, a supplier of embedded software components, have announced a collaboration with IS2T, a producer of software tools for designing smart embedded systems, to offer the MicroEJ Java platforms for Renesas RX microcontrollers, or MCUs. The collaboration between Renesas, Micrium, and IS2T, offers developers a software strategy based on the "application platform" approach. That approach contributes to expand product ranges, to accelerate specification process, and to improve user experience for markets specifically targeted by the RX product family, such as smart grid, smart metering, smart appliances, building & home automation, and other Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
