Infrax Systems (IFXY) Completes Development of its Flagship Product

(GlobeNewswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) St. Petersburg, FL, Oct. 9, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Infrax Systems, Inc., (OTCBB: IFXY), a global provider of unified Smart Grid-related products and services for the Energy and Utility industries, has just completed the development of their flagship product, Secure Network Interface Card (SNIC). While the card is designed for the Itron Centron II family of Smart meters, its unique architecture allows it to be easily adapted to accommodate meters from any other manufacturers in the future. The dual card platform contains enhanced security to ensure data transmitted to and from the meter is totally secure. The Next generation GRIDMeshTM communication network operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. The patented network stack and segmented LAN architecture provides greater bandwidth, multi-layered security and enhanced reliability from meter to the central office (head end).

The SNIC module is being tested in several lab trials as it is prepared for ANSI lab and FCC certifications. Final development of the other GRIDMeshTM communication platform units will take place in parallel to the certification process of the SNIC module. Itron certification process will follow the ANSI certification. We expect the production and sales/marketing of our flagship product will start first quarter of 2014.

The SNIC is the cornerstone product for the next generation (Smart Grid II) AMI/Smart Grid network which provides enhanced security, high bandwidth and reliability through a multi-layered, segmented LAN architecture that is intuitive and user friendly.

Smart Grid II is security, bandwidth, intelligence, riding over a network that is adaptive, reliable and resilient.

More detail on our business and new events will be announced with the release of our "CEO Letter 2013" shortly.
