Global Telesat Corp signs new asset tracking agreements

Oct 02, 2013 (WORLDWIDE COMPUTER PRODUCTS NEWS via COMTEX) -- Global Telesat Corp (GTC), a wholly owned subsidiary of World Surveillance Group Inc (OTCQB: WSGI), a developer of lighter-than-air aerostats and unmanned aerial systems, announced on Tuesday the closure of new business agreements with multiple clients to provide asset tracking services throughout Asia and other international regions.

These contract awards, exact financial details of which were not available, will result in a significant increase in the number of asset tracking devices currently managed by GTC, together with an increase in recurring monthly revenues produced by the messaging plans required for each device put into service.

Under these agreements, GTC will provide specialised satellite tracking devices, satellite airtime and online mapping capabilities to organisations wishing to locate and monitor the movements of a variety of mobile assets across the world. Also, these asset tracking contract requirements include locating shipping containers, commercial cargo vessels and high-altitude balloons.

GTC said that it will provide specialised satellite tracking hardware operating on the Iridium and Globalstar networks, together with airtime and access to its proprietary mapping portal, GTCTrack, which enables the tracking devices to be visually located and monitored by customers in near real-time from a PC or mobile device.
