Silicon Labs announces supply of sub-GHz wireless connectivity technology to Robulink

Aug 08, 2013 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- Silicon Labs (Nasdaq:SLAB), an analogue-intensive, mixed-signal IC manufacturer, declared on Wednesday that it has been selected to supply sub-GHz wireless connectivity technology to Robulink, a supplier of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) solutions in China, Southeast Asia and Australia.

Robulink will incorporate the company's advanced EZRadioPRO transceivers to its AMI solutions for next-generation smart meters that communicate wirelessly through intelligent mesh networks and provides a viable option for utilities implementing new AMI technologies for the smart grid. Robulink's RobuNet intelligent mesh network products provide a cost-effective, plug-and-play solution.

Further, RobuNet mesh network products like the RDDMRE4 metre communication unit and the RCJP242R wireless data collector, integrate Silicon Labs' EZRadioPRO transceivers that has performance, low power sub-GHz transceivers, transmitters and receivers that can maximize range and battery life for power-sensitive wireless systems.

Financial or pricing details of the deal were not disclosed.
