Altamira's Commitment to the Community Remains Strong in 2013


MCLEAN, Va. --(Business Wire)--

Altamira Technologies Corporation, the result of the merger between Invertix Corporation and Near Infinity Corporation, announced today a series of upcoming events planned for the balance of 2013. These new events come on the heels of what has already been a busy 2013 event calendar for the company. This week alone features a full schedule as Altamira partners with multiple organizations to lead and engage in policy and capability discussions throughout the government contracting community.

Today, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Emerging Professionals in Intelligence Committee (EPIC) Speaker Series held an event in the company's Reston Virginia Training Facility called "Intelligence and the Media." "This event and discussion could not be more timely and more important as we rebuild the trust between our government and the public," said Craig Parisot, Altamira's Chief Strategy Officer. Panelists from local and national publications as well as Intelligence Community public affairs veterans were on the docket for this event. The event was designed by Altamira Senior Director, Sean Gallagher.

For the second straight year, Altamira sponsors the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Hot Ticket Awards. Art Hurtado, Altamira's CEO, will address the crowd of business leaders as he introduces the "Company Culture" award. Altamira recently collaborated with NVTC to create the "Hot Ticket Insight Series" and has agreed to sponsor the category and series again next year. Invertix and Near Infinity are the two most recent winners of the Hottest Emerging Government Contractor award in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

On June 27th, Altamira appears in front of government and industry partners as a sponsor and exhibitor at the popular Defense Intelligence Agency's Industry Day being held at the DIA's headquartrs in Washington, D.C. Company representatives will be demonstrating multiple technologies that are enabling the Intelligence Community's Information Technology Environment (IC ITE), a major initiative of the Director of National Intelligence, Director James Clapper.



The rest of the Summer and Fall have Altamira appearing at two of the Intelligence Community's largest draws, along with a newcomer to the space.

In September, Altamira is exhibiting at the inaugural Intelligence and National Security Alliance's (INSA) "IC Summit" in Washington, D.C. Parisot sits on the INSA Advisory Board and is looking forward to taking part in this new event designed to showcase relevant topics affecting national security over the next decade.


Early October will feature Altamira's sponsorship and participation of the AFCEA Fall Intelligence Symposium, held at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, VA. This event is a major stop for all organizations within the national security space. Altamira's Gallagher and Mark Greer, Senior Vice President, are both members of the AFCEA Intelligence Committee.

The middle of October takes Altamira to the Sunshine State for the 10th Annual GEOINT Symposium being held in Tampa, FL. As a sponsor and exhibitor, Altamira promises to stand out from the crowd again this year and has been working with the United States Geospatial-Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) to plan the event.

Altamira has several other events throughout the summer and fall, including the Potomac Chapter of the Military Intelligence Corps Association's (MICA) Lt. General Tom Weinstein Golf Classic, where the company will be a sponsor for the fifth consecutive year; the popular "VolunTrivia" fundraiser, with all proceeds benefitting the efforts of Volunteer Fairfax (VA); as host of a "Capture the Flag"-style cyber event popular within the ethical hacking community near its Annapolis Junction, MD offices; a foray to Dayton, OH at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base's Industry Day; an appearance as an exhibitor at the Distributed Common Ground System - Army (DCGS-A) Innovation Day in Aberdeen (News - Alert), MD; as a sponsor for the popular "Char-a-oke" fundraiser hosted by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, benefitting Fairfax County Public Schools; and fielding three teams to run the 2013 Army Ten Miler benefiting the Army's MWR Fund.
