Shares of First Solar Rank the Lowest in Terms of P/E Ratio in the Semiconductors Industry (FSLR, CRUS, SIMO, IMOS, INTC)


Jun 21, 2013 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Below are the three companies in the Semiconductors industry with the lowest price to earnings (P/E) ratios. P/E is an important valuation tool when comparing companies in the same industry. A higher P/E ratio means that investors are paying more for each unit of net income, so the stock is more expensive compared to one with a lower P/E ratio.First Solar ranks lowest with a a P/E ratio of 7.54. Following is Cirrus Logic with a a P/E ratio of 8.58. Silicon Motion Technology ranks third lowest with a a P/E ratio of 9.72.



ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES Bermuda follows with a a P/E ratio of 11.95, and Intel rounds out the bottom five with a a P/E ratio of 12.19.
