Mar 20, 2013 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Below are the three companies in the Semiconductors industry with the lowest price to earnings to growth (PEG) ratios. PEG is valuable in assessing the tradeoff between the price of a stock and expected growth. Generally, the lower the PEG, the better.



Cirrus Logic ranks lowest with a a PEG ratio of 0.28. Following is NXP Semiconductors with a a PEG ratio of 0.37. SunPower ranks third lowest with a a PEG ratio of 0.45.

Silicon Image follows with a a PEG ratio of 0.46, and Microsemi rounds out the bottom five with a a PEG ratio of 0.62.
