Suspect sought in Utah, Idaho bank robberies


Mar 07, 2013 (Standard-Examiner - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- SALT LAKE CITY -- The FBI is asking for help in identifying a man agents believe is responsible for five bank robberies in Utah and Idaho.

PDF: Press Release During each robbery, he either verbally demands cash or displays a note. No weapon has been reported. Witnesses to the bank robberies have generally described him as a white male, approximately 50 to 60 years old with grey hair.



Some witnesses have described him as 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 145 to 180 pounds.

His clothing description has varied, but he has been seen in blue jeans, grey, green and navy blue jackets, white sneakers, glasses, a green ball cap, and carrying a red bag. He was seen wearing what is believed to be a fake beard during a robbery in Boise on March 6.


Anyone who believes they may know the identity of this bank robber is asked to contact the FBI Salt Lake City Division at 801-579-1400. The public is reminded not to approach the individual and to contact law enforcement with information.

The suspect has been linked to the following bank robberies: --March 6: U.S. Bank on Five Mile and Fairview in Boise, Idaho.

--Feb. 26: Mountain America Credit Union on Royal Hunte Drive in Cedar City.

--Jan. 22: Wells Fargo Bank, Five Mile and Ustick in Boise, Idaho --Jan. 4: Washington Trust Bank on State Street in Garden City, Idaho --Dec. 21, 2012: Chase Bank on Federal Way in Boise, Idaho.
