Ericsson expands Global Service Center in Queretaro, Mexico


Feb 27, 2013 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- * The Global Service Center in Mexico is one of four worldwide, with the others located in Romania, India and China * Global Service Centers deliver support and services remotely to Ericsson's customers around the world * Ericsson is inaugurating a new 8,000m2 facility in Empresalia, the biggest corporate campus of Queretaro state Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) manages networks that serve more than 950 million subscribers worldwide, and supports networks that serve more than 2.5 billion subscribers. To meet the needs of this large number of people, Ericsson delivers services locally in 10 regions and remotely from four Global Service Centers located in Romania, India, China and Mexico.



More than 15,000 Ericsson employees work at the Global Service Centers worldwide, including more than 2,000 at the center in Mexico, and it is expected that this number will continue to grow. To increase the capabilities of its Global Service Center in Mexico, Ericsson will open a new 8,000m2 facility in Empresalia, the biggest corporate campus of Queretaro state. The new facility will help to develop human resources for the Global Service Center, and also support its activities.

Ericsson's new facility in Empresalia will deliver planning, design, implementation and support services to customers in the Americas and Europe.

The Queretaro facility will also house a Global Network Operation Center, incorporating all of the latest technology for remote monitoring and administration of network operations for Ericsson's global customers.
