The forecast today calls for sunny skies with a high near 38 and winds 5 to 7 mph with wind chill as low as -1. The overnight low is expected to be near 17. Boulder saw 8.3 inches of snow Sunday according to local meteorologist Matt Kelsch, with snowfall eventually stopping overnight. No snow is expected today and visibility is expected to be good, but cold temperatures mean icy conditions could make the morning commute messy. The city of Boulder was on accident alert from 10 a.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. this morning. The University of Colorado announced on Twitter that it is open for classes this morning and running on a regular schedule after closing the University Memorial Center Sunday. As of 5 a.m., Denver International Airport reported 26 cancelled flights but is not expecting that number to increase. Planes will be deicing today, so delays are expected. More snow should be on the way Tuesday, with the forecast calling for mostly cloudy skies and a high near 33 with a 40 percent chance of snow between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. Less than half an inch of new snow is expected. The overnight low is expected to be near 16, with winds 5 to 11 mph with gusts as high as 17 mph. Wednesday's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of 37 and winds 6 to 11 mph with gusts as high as 16 mph. The overnight low is expected to be near 15.
