CIO Magazine & CIO Executive Council Gamify CIO Leadership Event Agenda
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. --(Business Wire)--
IDG's CIO-the
executive-level IT media brand providing insight into business
technology leadership-and the CIO
Executive Council, announce new attendee and sponsor experiences at
the annual The
CIO Leadership Event. The 2013 agenda
incorporates gamification through multiple Idea Lab sessions, which
focus conversations and team challenges on three streams of content:
Business Strategy, People Power and Technology Differentiators. In
addition, the Leadership Master Class and topical technology discussion
group sessions will drive greater participation by both IT
decision-makers and IT solution providers.
The annual conference of the CIO Executive Council, The
CIO Leadership Event-taking place May 5-7, 2013, in Boca Raton,
Florida-brings hundreds of CIOs and senior IT decision-makers together
to develop strategies that accelerate IT impact within their
businesses. The two and a half day conference will conclude with an
awards ceremony honoring the 2013
CIO Hall of Fame inductees and the CIO
Ones to Watch Awards honorees.
"In addition to honoring the 9th annual CIO Ones to Watch
Award recipients, the CIO Executive Council is excited to leverage the
thought leadership of council members and staff to produce the
Leadership Master Class," said Pam Stenson, senior vice president and
general manager of the CIO Executive Council. "By taking part in this
class, future CIOs will be able to network with current CIO Executive
Council members and CIO Hall of Fame inductees during the career and
leadership coaching sessions, providing a unique opportunity focused on
preparing the CIOs of the future."
Idea Labs Attendees will experience the power of
gamification through participation in the Idea
Lab team competition following each general session. The session
presenter will pose a challenge or question, and each team will come up
with its most innovative or actionable responses. Over the course of the
event, attendees will generateand collect dozens of game-changing
ideas. At the end of the conference, the team with the most points will
be the overall The
CIO Leadership Event winner. IT solution providers have the
opportunity to sponsor and join one of the four teams, allowing them to
work directly with IT decision-makers and build lasting relationships.
Leadership Master Class The Leadership Master Class is a
fast-paced career and leadership development training and mentoring
session for senior IT decision-makers looking to reach the rank of CIO.
The class will be led by CIO Hall of Fame members, CIO Executive Council
mentors and other veteran CIOs who know what it takes to navigate an IT
career to the CIO position.
Technology Discussion Groups Throughout the agenda, there
will be technology discussion groups hosted by The CIO Leadership Event sponsors.
These discussion groups will be focused around a specific technology or
leadership area. The 40-minute focus groups provide valuable
face-to-face networking time between event participants and sponsors, as
well as an open forum for all session attendees to gain valuable
insights from one another.
