BRIEF: Man severely injured when struck by SUVSTOCKTON, Feb 21, 2013 (The Record - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit by a sport utility vehicle shortly before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday near Pacific Avenue and West Bianchi Road, authorities said. The victim was described as a man about 30 years old. He was taken to a hospital with a severe head injury, officials said. The man was struck by a Mercedes SUV, which suffered major damage, authorities said. Police were investigating at the scene late Wednesday and were unable to provide additional details.
