Boulder weather: Snow expected to continue until at least noon

Today's forecast calls for a high of 27, with snow to continue until at least noon, though less than half an inch of new snow is expected. By 9 p.m. Wednesday 2.8 inches of snow had fallen in Boulder, with meteorologists predicting about 3 more to fall overnight.

The weather service issued a weather advisory for Boulder County until 9 a.m. this morning, and poor visibility and icy conditions could complicate the morning commute for residents. The city of Boulder did go on accident alert Wednesday night.


Friday's forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high near 38 and winds 3 to 7 mph. The overnight low is expected to be near 21, with winds 11 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Saturday's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 47 and winds 7 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph. The overnight low is expected to be near 25, with a 30 percent chance of snow.
