Glandorf Telephone selects ADTRAN's Total Access 5000 broadband platform

Feb 21, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- ADTRAN, Inc., a provider of networking solutions, has announced that Glandorf Telephone Company, a provider of telecommunications services, will use ADTRAN's Total Access 5000 broadband platform to enable high-speed broadband and video service to households in Northwest Ohio.

Glandorf is utilizing the Total Access 5000 to deliver both Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and Ultra Broadband services to both residential and business customers. Glandorf is capitalizing on their existing copper network to double the bandwidth service speed over bonded copper for rural residents who cannot be serviced by the fiber network, ADTRAN said.

"Our goal at ADTRAN is to help service providers deploy a solution that allows them to launch and stay ahead by offering the latest next-generation services, creating opportunities to increase market share and revenue," said Mitch Fleming, regional vice president, sales, ADTRAN Carrier Networks Division. "ADTRAN's products provide the flexibility and simplicity that service providers, like Glandorf Telephone, need to not only grow their network bandwidth over time, but also diversify their service offering to meet both residential and business customers' demand." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
