SkyCross Announces Revenue Growth, Profitability and New Executive Hires

FREMONT, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

SkyCross, a leading global designer and manufacturer of advanced antenna and RF solutions, today announced the company enjoyed 30 percent year-over-year revenue growth from 2011 to 2012, as well as greater than 80 percent Q4 2012 revenue growth over Q4 2011. The company also announced that it has reached profitability.

SkyCross' (News - Alert) record revenues accentuate its growing market leadership and success creating advanced tunable antenna solutions for LTE mobile devices. In early 2012, SkyCross announced VersiTune-LTE (News - Alert), a tunable antenna module that leverages patented SkyCross technology, allowing a single antenna structure to operate on as many as 12 transmit and receive bands while providing optimized MIMO functionality crucial for 4G LTE speeds. SkyCross has since enhanced the innovative VersiTune-LTE product line with MatchTuneTM technology, enabling the single antenna structure to fine tune within a given LTE frequency band.

"With LTE's growing popularity and continued adoption, SkyCross' momentum is also escalating," said Ben Naskar (News - Alert), CEO and chairman of SkyCross. "Our advanced antenna solutions deliver the accelerated speeds and outstanding connectivity that 4G LTE devices require, and also simplify the design process, which enables thinner form factors. We're excited to continue stimulating the development of high-performance LTE devices."

Though SkyCross is growing rapidly and now delivers more than 125 million antennas per year, the company remains committed to providing the highest quality products and supporting it customers throughout the design and manufacturing process. SkyCross recently received Huawei's (News - Alert) "Quality Management Excellence Award," which the telecommunications giant presents each year to the top five of its more than 300 suppliers.

SkyCross Bolsters Front End Design Expertise and Support of Greater China with New Executives

To support its continued focus on building high performance front end solutions for mobile devices, SkyCross has named Bob Giometti, an accomplished wireless industry professional with more than 20 years of product strategy experience, including design, development, quality and optimization, as vice president of R&D and Engineering. In this role, Giometti will apply his system-level expertise to set SkyCross' overall technical vision, strategy and execution for the product roadmaps and product delivery.

Prior to joining SkyCross, Giometti served as senior director of Engineering for Motorola Mobile Devices, where he led a team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers and project managers that implemented technical solutions for highly complex Android-based 4G, LTE, WCDMA, and 3G/UMTS products. He also oversaw the electrical development and product integration of the award winning, ultra-thin original Motorola RAZR, and worked previously as engineering section manager for Motorola's Cellular Infrastructure Division. Giometti holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

SkyCross is also focused on meeting growing demand for its advanced antenna solutions, and expanding its exemplary worldwide customer support. In addition to increasing manufacturing capacity at its facilities in Taoyuan, Taiwan and Shenzhen and Shanghai, China, SkyCross has appointed Amanda Jiang as general manager of Greater China. Jiang has more than 10 years of management experience within the antenna industry, including business development, R&D, supply chain, customer service and logistics management.

Prior to SkyCross, Jiang was general manager of Ethertronics' China R&D center, handling day-to-day operations as well as business development, R&D management and supply chain management. Before Ethertronics, Jiang spent five years with Shanghai Amphenol (News - Alert) Airwave, where she managed key accounts including Nokia and Huawei, and also supervised R&D groups in Shanghai and Beijing. Jiang has a bachelor's degree in Electronics Information Engineering from Soochow University, China.
