Insight Planner offers an ideal way for boaters to plan excursions from the comfort of their home or office; while Insight Store provides a one-stop-shop for convenient, instant access to global mapping content. These flexible, powerful and easy-to-use tools allow boaters efficient preparation, as well as the charts of their choice, for more accurate and safe on-the-water navigation. The Windows compatible Insight Planner can be used to manage and create waypoints, routes and points of interest (POIs) on a variety of supported mapping platforms such as Lake, Nautic, and Topo Insight; Insight Genesis; C-MAP by Jeppesen; Navionics; NV Digital and raster charts that use the BSB format. Additional platforms will be supported in the future. A convenient split-screen option allows viewing of multiple charts from different providers - even at different zoom levels - for the ultimate in route-planning flexibility. Users can seamlessly transfer waypoints and icons to a Lowrance, Simrad Yachting or B&G chartplotter without the need for the manual conversion. Users can also create, transfer and view their information directly in the proprietary .usr format used by the brands' products - saving anglers and boaters hours of time that is better spent on the water than in front of a computer. Powered by industry-leading Northport Systems' Fugawi Marine 5 software, Insight Planner offers unparalleled charting options. Insight Planner includes all NOAA RNC raster charts of US coastal waters, all NOAA ENC S-57 vector charts of US coastal waters, all Army Corps iENC S-57 charts of US inland waterways, USA place names via Google Search and a world background map at a 1:1,000,000 scale. Other supported cartography formats, many downloadable from the Internet free of charge, include BSB formatted charts from NOAA, the Canadian Hydrographic Service, MAPTECH and NV DIGITAL. Tracks, waypoints and routes can be transferred to Google Earth or a GPX file, or shared to Facebook as an interactive map. Insight Planner can be installed on PC-based computers using the Microsoft Windows 7 or 8, Vista, or XP operating system. A minimum of 10GB of hard drive storage is required for installation. The Insight Store is a fast and ultra-convenient resource for discovering and downloading global content for compatible Lowrance, Simrad Yachting and B&G plotters. Providing instant access to a rapidly growing collection of marine and topographical maps such as Lake, Nautic and Topo Insight and others, the ever-expanding Insight Store allows users to select and download maps directly from the comfort of their home or office, and then transfer them to their compatible navigational device via SD card or USB flash drive. In addition, users can quickly and easily access their Insight Genesis account directly from the Insight Store.
